FLACS offers enhanced surgical precision, patient safety, reliability

Comfortability of patient is critical element for successful premium cataract surgery

    The capsulotomy perfected

Less trauma, less time, and less manipulation of the eye contribute to successful cataract surgery outcomes, and a flawless capsulotomy is the key. Modern, highly advanced laser systems perform with perfection and deliver the desired outcomes by executing crucial surgical steps with total precision and in mere seconds.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology integrated within my FLACS system automatically calculates centration and determines the optimal point for lens placement, despite any initial decentration.

Next, the laser performs a perfectly circular capsulorhexis consistently void of tags and corneal stickiness. This allows for lens extraction without any struggle, and anytime surgeons can do something faster and easier, it is safer for the patient.

    Nucleus pretreatment

Pre-treatment of the nucleus is a clear advantage of using FLACS. The ability to segment and soften nuclei has proven valuable in cases involving dense nuclei, which poses an increased risk for eye trauma. By fragmenting the nucleus prior to phacoemulsification, the nucleus can be disassembled trouble-free. Furthermore, exposure to phaco energy is reduced, and the eye is subjected to less manipulation; the result is less inflammation.
